Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ANYTHINX (“ANYTHINX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the website at www.anythinx.com and any related pages (collectively, the “Service”). ANYTHINX is a publisher of original written quotes. We are built to be read, not to profile you. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three narrow ways:
a. Information you give us
The only personal information we ask for is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to updates. Providing it is entirely optional; the entire library is readable without it.
b. Information collected automatically
When you interact with a quote (for example, liking a card), we record an anonymous engagement event — the type of action and the quote it relates to. These events are not tied to your name, email, or any account, and we do not use them to identify you.
We also use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the Service performs. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to build an individual profile of you.
c. Information stored on your device
We use your browser’s local storage — not advertising cookies — to remember lightweight preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice and which cards you have liked. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us as personal data.
2. How we use information
- To send you the updates you subscribed to, and a one-time welcome message.
- To understand, in aggregate, which quotes and pages resonate.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on: your consent (for sending you subscription emails, which you may withdraw at any time); and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
4. Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf and under their own obligations:
- Vercel — website hosting, content delivery, and aggregate web analytics.
- Supabase — database storage for subscriber email addresses and anonymous engagement events.
- Resend — delivery of subscription and welcome emails.
Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices. We share only the minimum data necessary for each to perform its function.
5. International data transfers
Our providers may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
6. Data retention
We keep subscriber email addresses until you unsubscribe or request deletion, after which they are removed within a reasonable period. Anonymous engagement and aggregate analytics data may be retained for as long as it is useful for understanding the Service, since it does not identify you.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These include rights under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Request access or deletion of your email by contacting us at privacy@anythinx.com.
- Clear device data (theme and likes) by clearing your browser’s local storage at any time.
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-party links
The Service may link to external sites (for example, social platforms where our cards are shared). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies separately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
